Thirty; Sense of Urgency

Hello, I’m back. In practically three months fit. Hah. It’s been quite a while since my last post about the ongoing drama, Totsuzen Desu Ga, and it’s suffice to say that I’m practically quitting that drama by the time I’m about to enter the fourth episode, and decided to skip far ahead to the final number nine, just because it had failed to move me kokoro in order to continue watching it. I mean, the third episode had lead us to the good conclusion of Asuka and Nanami becoming an item, but then, the next mumbo jumbo shittiness that’s waiting for us on the next episode is another rinse and repeat crap of the sympathy towards the ex thingy case, which has managed to make me ugh, and ah, and quit. And turns out I wasn’t regretting my decision cuz hella, by the time me watching the final episode out of curiosity, I feel like I’m not missing anything and the ending is so dull, and all the casts are basically there out of the love for their paychecks. So yeah. Disappointed, but not surprised.
Moving on. And so, as I stumble to this newer drama, Tokyo Tarareba Musume, I decided to give it a try cos it’s all about girls and their love stories, set in a romcom manner with a shiny line of casts. And though I found myself not quite warm up to the series as I want it to be, I still managed to finish it, cos this drama has quite a lot likeable factor, though it came up quite in balance with the dull one. Heh. I’m not gonna make this post long ass and boring just to talk about one farking drama, but Imma try my best to convey everything completely, despite being a rusty hiatus blog writer. Lulz.

Halfway Two Cents: 突然ですが、明日結婚します (Everyone’s Getting Married) #01-#02

Compromising Jinx

tie-the-knotBefore I yap, allow me to fashionably say, happy super farking duper belated new year, everybody! Time does fly when you’re doing neigh. Haha. Anyhoo, back to this post’s original intention. As far as you guys know since my last update on December last year, I’ve been dwelling my ass out on Tohoshinki and old dramas slash crime-genre series watching, and I gotta say that I’m pretty much stay the same until by the time I’m typing this post. Lulz. Buuuutt, I finally come back to my senses of the modern era dorama a bit, with this new, currently airing,  突然ですが、明日結婚します (Totsuzen Desu ga, Ashita Kekkon Shimasu). Well, actually, I’m not really that eager to watch this, as it more due to the reason of my own realization of how I’ve been wayyy far outta touch from chick flick and romance genre dorama, and I’m just trying to revive those feels again after all this time, in order to you know, feel that doki doki again. Hah.winter-coffeeAnd honest to the maxes, I’m not really fond at the line up casts in this drama either, since Nishiuchi Mariya is so damn tall compare to the main lead dude, Yamamura Ryuta, who is too skinny and emaciated; But heyyyy, beauty comes in all shapes and sizes, amen sisters? Lol. So if we can put that shallow factors aside and focus on what matters, I must say that I like Nishiuchi Mariya, cos she’s the familiar face that I’ve known way before, when I was a (quite) avid Seventeen magazine’s reader. And turns out, she and Yamamura make quite a cute couple which surprisingly don’t awkward with each other. So yeah, I’m willing to give this drama a try for the sake of  that. And even though it took me one week to finish watching the pilot episode only, the second episode progressed quite fast in pace and nicely done, since turns out this drama is not as cheesy and cliche as I thought it would be with all the meandering ‘he loves me, he loves me not ‘ plot, cos the whole point about Ashita Kekkon is not about how they will ENDED UP together in the end, but it’s more on how they will work their ways in order to STAY together till the end, so this drama gives a lil fresh breeze of a story-line in a more mature way without being shittily predictable. Which is good.

Wind Up Two Cents: 당신을 주문합니다 (I Order You) #05-#16 (Fin)

Heavy Do(n’t)sirak

closerangeGeez, finally… after had marathoned for these past couple of days, I unscathed-ly manage to finish my first ever web-drama, I Order You, which also marks the first K-drama that I’d watched after a verrry looong break. And, whoa… I have no better words to describe this experience other than I’m impressed. Massively. IOU is so beautifully written, so sweetly produced, and so perfectly tailored… to be a very spot-on reminder on why I hate Korean drama in general. No, no, no, seriously; the shuddering cheesy dialogues, the repulsive zoomed shot on everyone’s lips at the early episodes (that strawberry eating scene though. Gag.) The overdone effort to bring out the charming sexy-kinda-appeal from the main characters; everything, everything is so damn “impressive.” But what makes me IMPRESSED to the max, is how this drama could take a whole 180 in turning itself from an easy breezy romcom, to a depressing cliche love story. Ugh. IOU is a freaking troll indeed, with every character in this drama trolling us viewers, and each other right on the face, as like the “proposal-dosirak” kind of troll. Hah. Can’t believe that this fruitcake was sold on the highest price ever recorded for a web drama, which was almost half a million USDollerrrz, in Japan. Guess it solely lays on the name of star power… you know~ Haharharrrr… blerg.morning after(Spoilert: till the last crumb…) click for moarrr angst!

About: 近キョリ恋愛 (Close Range Love)

So Close Together, So Far Apart…

kabedonAnother day, another shojo-manga live action! Hoohoo! Lulz… Well, as I always said before and as you already knew; whenever there’s some romance drama/movie, you can always count me in. Always. And this movie, Kinkyori Renai (Close Range Love), had doubled my anticipation more than usual, since this is not just your average newbie actors’ romance movie, but it’s starring Yamapecs! Oops sorry, I mean Yamaboobs! Oops… I did it again!!! I mean Yamapeeeee!!! Lololol… Well basically, I always watch every chick flick drama that he’s starred in, despite the utter expressionless face and boringness that he might had brought to the screen (in other words: Summer Nude). And after waited for monthzzzz of release, I finally could watched this shojo-manga adaptation movie that had teased the viewers with a cute interaction and doki-doki scenes between the two main leads ever since the trailer was released. And now, let us talk abouddit, shall weeee??? secret(Spoilert: Close range, no hide! Hah! What a nonsense phrase! Lulz…) click for more peep!

Beautiful Face with an Ugly Life

rainHi, how are you all? It’s been quite a while, ne? Haha… well, few things had happened in my daily life that managed to keep me… not in the mood enough to post something. Starting from my sudden loss of interest to write. People say that it’s called writer’s block, but I think that terms is too exclusive to be used on a seasonal random wordpress-blogger like me, so I’m simply just gonna called mine as being lazy. Lol. The second one was that I caught a heavy flu out of the blue, like really sudden and well… out of the blue, it makes me loss my voice, my taste-buds and my capability to breath from my nose as it was so boogery-mucusy (Eww, I know right?!), and my throat was also going dry and hoarsey. But now I’m an A Okay, so… Hallelujah! Whoop whoop!!! And the third one is that I lost another interest; in which is to watch a drama. It’s so contrast with what I had said before in my Hayami post about having the mahoossive dorama craving whatsoever, but now, that crave has just gone in a snap. But, darlings, a big BUT, I somehow manage to finish this drama, Omoni Naitemasu. And for most part of the reason why I could, was simply because this drama was said to be Nakamaru’s first rom-com drama. And you know me; I don’t care about the com, only the rom, the OTP, and it’s other various genetic mutations, so yeah, I watched this. And the other reason why, is that this drama only consists of eight episodes with around 36 minutes each, so basically I only waste approximately five hours (four hours and 48 minutes to be more precise) of my life. Now that I think about it, it’s quite a huge chunk of time eh? Sheez… Oh well, at first I don’t want to write this drama down as a solo post, but since turns out, there’s some-some unexpected thing that makes this drama become a goodie, I decide to post it as one. What’s that some-some; I think you’re gonna know it right away by the time you click the greeny words next to the spoilert. So… yeah, here we go…42(Spoilert: Bloody massive… mwahahaha…) click for more, sweeties!

About: サプリ (Suppli) Part 2

cuteHello, and welcome back to Sapuri-ville; home of angsty romance debacle and dullard-personality characters. Lol. So, this is the second part of my venting post of the 2006 getsu-9 drama, Sapuri (Suppli/Supplement). I never want to watch this drama at first, but as a newly-declared Kame completist, there’s an inevitable responsibility that needs to be fulfilled, and this is the said one. Hahaha… So, without further ado, let’s finish what we started, eh?
9-10(Spoilert: Very very high. Up to the dangerous level. lol)

(Younger) Men: Can’t Live with Them, Can’t Live without Them

0Aaaah…it’s all about love in January-August, March-October, May-December, whatever you may call it. This popular genre is a form of modern romance; a smoother version of class difference; and sprucing up a conventional love story; which certainly also touch the softie spot in our lil heart for at least once in our drama addict life. That’s why this theme never withers for the new drama keeps being made from the same recycled basic premise, and most of them get high ratings. Then what about me? Well, I’m no exception here, since I also have that softie spot, and like I always say; I love cheesy-romance drama. But since these days Japanese romance drama is so-ho-ho rare, I just grab and gulp any romantic J-dramas that are right in front of me like a crazy Pac-man *gulp gulp gulp* lol.

The May-December romance genre in Japan has many titles to offer and I can name most of them, like: the bombastic 90’s hit; ロングバケーション (Long Vacation) that had catapulted the young wavy-haired KimuTaku to become Nippon most viable/sexiest romantic lead ever existed; 魔女の条件 (Terms of a Witch), which is dark and angsty but an absolute masterpiece; 僕だけのマドンナ (My Only Madonna) (…and I Love Her) with it’s pretty OTP pairing and the breezy college-setting love story; The noona romance drama-queen, Shinohara Ryoko’s アネゴ (Anego) (along with Kame’s ‘BFF’ Bakanishi) and ラスト♡シンデレラ (Last Cinderella) (with Haruma and Bucho, ah gomen, I mean Naohito Fujiki, heheh..), and the currently aired, きょうは会社休みます (Take the Day off Work Today), which I have to say, has the purrrtiest casts and leaving me in despair as I (once again) signing in on a sinking OTP shipping of Hanae (Ayase Haruka) and her older hotter charismatic colleague, Yu (Tamaki Hiroshi). So, among all this awesome cast-paired of noona-dramas, which one did I choose? Well, don’t be surprised for I’m picking the underdog; the most meh of them all, with record of 99.9% bad reviews all over the blogosphere. I choose to watch…*drum roll*…Sapuri (Suppli). HAH! I bet all of you like “omggg, whyyyy she choose that time waster drama??? I think she’s already, y’know… cuckoo inside her head…” Um, well, okay, lemme tell you the reason(s) why I chose this instead the more famous (and most rave) one like, say, Last Cinderella: One, I want to prove everyone’s wrong; that this drama is not as bad as what everyone said or think it is. I mean, this is GETSU-9 DORAMA for pete’s sake!!! The ‘it’ slot; the golden time slot!!! The slot with a drama that will make viewers scratch the don’t in their I don’t like Monday mental phrase. All this general public assumption indirectly says that getsu-9 drama = good quality drama; and I choose to believe that (for now); The second reason is…omg, I actually don’t wanna say it, but this skeleton keeps knocking in my closet, as it wants to get out…I, err, uhm…*biting nails*…okay, I admit… I’m a Kame completist okaaaaay?! Among the sea of hottie eye candy actors with swoony screen presence, I chose this skinny gremlin face as the object of my J-drama addiction. Goshdarnit…I just dunno what in the world is wrong with me. Lol.phone-iNow, what do I think about Sapuri? Well… click for moooreee!!!
