Homecoming (iroiro) Two Cents: Bop, Gold, and Flying Dragon

from-minipipami-with-love

Hello. I’m back.

I’m not dead yet. Still alive and kicking y’all.

Lulz.

One thing I clearly learned from these past three months, is that when you open your piehole and bluffing your plan to have a hiatus, it won’t work out. I repeat: it won’t work out. You’re gonna jinx the whole shit and end up suffering yourself in series of brain slavery of obligatory posting. So I took an impromptu act and going for the un-notified MIA from this blog, just because I couldn’t push myself to post any longer if I’m not really in the mood to do so. But now I’ve returned, only for a while, and Imma share to you what happened in my fangirl world for these past couple of months. It ain’t groundbreakingly revolutionary whatsoever, but still, it’s good from the entertaining angle. Hah.

Wind Up Two Cents: 당신을 주문합니다 (I Order You) #05-#16 (Fin)

Heavy Do(n’t)sirak

closerangeGeez, finally… after had marathoned for these past couple of days, I unscathed-ly manage to finish my first ever web-drama, I Order You, which also marks the first K-drama that I’d watched after a verrry looong break. And, whoa… I have no better words to describe this experience other than I’m impressed. Massively. IOU is so beautifully written, so sweetly produced, and so perfectly tailored… to be a very spot-on reminder on why I hate Korean drama in general. No, no, no, seriously; the shuddering cheesy dialogues, the repulsive zoomed shot on everyone’s lips at the early episodes (that strawberry eating scene though. Gag.) The overdone effort to bring out the charming sexy-kinda-appeal from the main characters; everything, everything is so damn “impressive.” But what makes me IMPRESSED to the max, is how this drama could take a whole 180 in turning itself from an easy breezy romcom, to a depressing cliche love story. Ugh. IOU is a freaking troll indeed, with every character in this drama trolling us viewers, and each other right on the face, as like the “proposal-dosirak” kind of troll. Hah. Can’t believe that this fruitcake was sold on the highest price ever recorded for a web drama, which was almost half a million USDollerrrz, in Japan. Guess it solely lays on the name of star power… you know~ Haharharrrr… blerg.morning after(Spoilert: till the last crumb…) click for moarrr angst!

Halfway Two Cents: はぴまり (Happy Marriage) #01-#02 & 당신을 주문합니다 (I Order You) #01-#04

CCC for WWW ~ Drama Edition ~

proposalOne and a half monthzzzz later, I’m back on the loop for a lil update. Teehee. I don’t have much things to talk about, actually, since I’m in this some sort of a shitty mood to watch anyhoo and anything in between; but yet, lately I’ve read a lot of buzz about web dramas and stuffs on the blogosphere, and how good they were yadayadayada. Well, I guess it’s a solid proof of how in this kind of time, watching and churning your emotions away aren’t limited to the TV screen only, hence lots of them sprouting and spawning through various major internet host sites with a known actors and idols as the main casts. But that is not the main reason why I give a try for web drama, since I always watch my shits in computer screen anyway, so there is not much of a difference it makes lulz… but there’s a lil part of me that curious about whether or not it was as good in terms of quality and production, as the TV one. Also, since I got a plenty time in my hands this week, and I just need a little melancholy ‘wetness’ to my dry grubby thriller crime drama watcher’s kokoro, so… yeah. And out of my randomness and fangirlingness, I decided to give two dramas a simultaneous try, which are はぴまり (Happy Marriage) and 당신을 주문합니다 (I Order You). Since I already invested my soul and energy in watching these, I gotta say a lil thought about it. But Imma make this shorty and quickie not bcos I’m not in the mood to make a long post, but my era of lengthy writing has come to an end, I guess… harrrharrharrr…

About: サヨナライツカ (Sayonara Itsuka)

Torrid Lust to Tragic Lost

kiss in jealousyHola, all my peopppple! Happy Labour Day! Mama is back in bringing you couple of (meaningless) accomplishments that I wanna share right here right now. One → as you can see on your left, Messy Random Whatever had finally reached 10k page views which is soooo awesome with a capital A. All I can say is thank you, thank you, and thank yeeeeewwwww!!! to all of you my readers and visitors. I lurve you gurls so damn much-o! Woohoo! *throwing roses* and Two → I finally had watched Sayonara Itsuka, everybody say whatttt!?! Well, I know most of you probably think that what the eff should I emphasizing this no biggie matter, but when it comes to Nishijima Hidetoshi‘s landmark career projects, Sayonara Itsuka is a must watch among his filmography. And actually, there are at least three Nishi productions that are a obligatory to be watched by a fan such as moi, like Double Face (√check), for that tanpatsu was his major acting break, MOZU (√check), for that series was his major commercial success. But before those two even exist, Sayonara Itsuka was the project that putting his name on the map, and it is too because of couple other reasons such as: it was based on a romantic novel with the same title by Hitonari Tsuji, and it’s co-starred with the author’s (ex)wife, Nakayama Miho, who made her comeback acting after 12 years, while the director is John H.Lee, who was famed for his sappy makjang JDorama adaptation-KMovie, 내 머리 속의 지우개 (Eraser in My Head/A Moment to Remember), which fyi, I had watched as well. Heheh… But as for me, what’s driving me mainly to wanna watch Sayonara Itsuka were ain’t that high profile backgrounds, for I come to hear the soundtrack album first and the theme song by Nakashima Mika, and I loveeeee all of it a lot, I can almost assure myself that this movie will be my favorite of my favorite. If we can put it in Savage Garden way, it’s like I knew I love you before I met you kinda shit, y’know what I mean. Lulz…plane a kissAnd after that fully established factors and heart-tugging soundtracks, one can say that Sayonara Itsuka is definitely a one helluva dramatic romantic movie that will squish your kokoro pulps away into buckets of tears right?! Well, the answer is… NO. And you don’t know how freaking effing disappointed I am right now at this movie for the only reason that I shed my salty tears is because I had wasted away the 2.5 hours of my life that I could never get back. Ugh… SHIIIITTT!!! Mai Pen Raiiiiiii!!! *clenching fist*

45 Years of Nishijima Hidetoshi: The (Fashionably) Late Bloomer

forty fiveHi, peeps. It’s been over a month since my last post, and I think most of you have been thinking that I’m having hiatus for good or that I’m probably already dead, eh?! Haha… Well, I indeed almost considered myself to take an indefinite hiatus, but turns out I. Just. Can’t abandone you, peepsqueaks! Cos I luv you all so-so-so much with all my guts and ulcer *smooch* But it’s not just for you gurls; cos this squeezebun here too has hefty enuff kokoro to fangirl over this fetching Nippon-actor, Nishijima Hidetoshi ( ❤ ) as well. Talk about Nishijima-shi… *looking at calendar* omigosh… I am soooooooo on the verge of shedding my effin tears right at this moment, for I’m able to be alive, kicking, and posting right on the same day as his birthday TODAYYYY!!! Aiaiaiaiaiaiaiiiii!!! *sobs* And it is also not just an ordinary birth number as well, as our cutie patootie ossan is reaching the halfway to the half century age which is the big Forty and the fatso Five! Whoaaaawesome~!!! omedetou cutie ossan xoxoBut wait-o the minute-o! Before I start to yap around wildly and restlessly, I feel the need to point out that Nishijima Hidetoshi is a one rare case of late blooming actor in Japan. That being said, while most actors are reaching their heights of popularity in their 20s or 30s, Nishijima was reaching his peak right on his 40s, after had nonstop-ly starred in strings of various genre and type of films and doramas with distinctive kinds of role for over two decades.  Be it chick-flick, action, medical, sci-fi, dystopia; high budget, mediocre, rinky-dink; Japanese, Korean, English, French, whatever the shit, you name it, he’s done it. This un-pickiness of him finally become sumthin’ fruitful for his career, as he’s obtained the A-list actor predicate like he is now. And as a fan, too, it’s simply my ever so fricking pleasuuuure to be able to reap what he’d sown all this time, hence me marathoning his shitzzz all around for months. Haha. That is why, in order to celebrate this rare-as-solar-eclipse event and also not to make my hours and viewing impressions went down to the gutter of nothingness, I had made this Oh! So special! dedicational post of my fangirl journey over our birthday man sans the birthday suit. Lulz… and I’m gonna summarized the list not chronologically by the production year, but simply on my own timeline of watching process so far. Okie dokie then fellas, Here! We! Go~!

About: 美男ですね (He is Beautiful)

Touched by an A*N.JELL

chu2Fluff, fluff, bring on the fluff!!! Ahahahaha… *crazy laugh* When you have had hectic weeks full of boredom and tiredness; a bubbly cheesecake cliche drama shall always be a good food for the soul. And so, I did a rewatch session of the fluffy drama slash one of Nippon ichiban rom-com, Ikemen desu ne. Well, I’m pretty sure that many of you probably know this drama through the title You’re Beautiful, which is a 2009 K-drama that were starred by Jang Geun Suk, Park Shin Hye, Jung Yong Hwa and Lee Hong Gi. Though I’m not a fan of the said one, I can’t help but to know a bit about it, and watched it a little as well, since it was floating around freely on the local TV channel at that time. But in the end, I never fully watched YB until I stumble to Ikemen desu ne on the internet and found out that this drama is the remake of YB itself. It makes me wonder, why YB is so ravely watched and reviewed, but this version is so under the radar? Well, it’s probably due to the fact that Ikemen desu ne were starred by a bunch of newbies; such as newcomer actress Takimoto Miori, two Johnny rookies (Early career days Tamamori Yuta and Fujigaya Taisuke) who were basically still nobodies at that time; while the other one is Johnny’s un-prominent member (Heiseijump’s Yaotome Hikaru). And let’s be honest to the maxes here, nuggets, these dudes are not what we can define as the drama’s titular ikemen. Lol.

a dissappointment?
a disappointment?

But like people always said, “don’t judge a drama by it’s casts”. So, I decided to give this one a try and I must said that this is one of the best decision I ever take in my entire viewing life, cos even though it’s not as polished or booming as the Korean version, Ikemen desu ne has it’s own charms and merits that make this drama become supah dupah adorable, button like-cute, and makes you going all squealing and giggling over the main OTP like a chick-flick (or teen flick) otaku. Lol. So now, shall we talk about it, eh? *wink wink* heheh…cute(Spoilert Warning: Benignly Malignant. Hahahaha…)
